Tiesto Drops Ibiza For Vegas

Tiesto has signed a 20 month deal with Hakkasan Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel, which means he will be bypassing Ibiza for the entire summer, Rolling Stone reported this week.
“I do everything on my gut feeling, and I felt like it’s gonna’ be awesome there,” the trance titan turned EDM superstar DJ told the magazine, “I’ve been to Ibiza for 10 years, and I love Ibiza, but I always look for something new and a new challenge,” he added. (http://rol.st/15lzhzC )
The Dutch DJ also robustly defended ‘EDM’ last week, telling Spin Magazine he considers it ‘a great name for our genre’ said he doesn’t like ‘pop music’ and insisted ‘there’s a huge difference between me and David Guetta’.
“I’m not commercial in the way that people consider “pop,” but I’m not underground in the way that people consider that. either. I am just a cool guy,” he suggested. “I think I’m commercial underground.” (Spin)
