Glitch music portal Addictech.com has launched a fundraising campaign to help pay medical bills of glitch-hop/ nuskool breaks pioneer Dave Tipper, urging fans to purchase Tipper’s upcoming remix release ‘Dusty Bubble Box EP’.
“Dave Tipper needs open heart surgery,” Addictech explains on their site. “He is releasing these tracks to help pay for the medical costs that his insurance policy won’t cover. 100% (every penny) of the sales of this release will go to Dave to help fund his surgery and recovery in 2013.”
Writing about his operation on Twitter this week, the 30 something Brit was movingly honest about his predicament.
“In 17 hours from now I have to undergo open heart surgery,” he wrote, “(I am very scared.)”
