Barefoot Doctor Bit: When Is It Acceptable To Break A Promise?
Barefoot Doctor: “Based on the notion of there being a law of cause and effect, whereby what you reap you sow, implicit is an equation: the more you keep your word, the more others tend to take you seriously and therefore tend to keep their word with you.
This provides the requisite integrity to the warp and weft of your everyday affairs to make things work out for you in life. The less you keep your word, the less others take you seriously, the less they tend to keep their word with you, hence the less things tend to work out for you in general.
So it’s not a matter of right or wrong, good or bad, it’s simply a matter of understanding the mathematics and calibrating your words and deeds accordingly, (presuming you want things to work out in your life).
