KLF Man Sells Acid House Riot Shields
London counter-culture artist James Cauty has produced a fresh limited edition collection of individually hand-painted police riot shields, which are being sold online for just £185 each.
The polycarbonate ‘appropriated’ shields are decorated with old skool acid house smileys and follow a first edition of 3 made for Occupy London St Paul’s Eviction 2012.
“All shields are battle-scarred ex-UK police issue and are legal to own and hang on your wall as a work of art,” the accompanying press release explains, “Other uses may include sledging, self defence, peaceful protest, acid house revival parties etc.”
