‘Jonty Skrufff’ Debut Release Marks Sisyphos’ Return
Berlin’s uber-underground warehouse club Sisyphos re-opened last weekend with a 72-hour nonstop party and drew thousands of clubbers again relying entirely on word-of-mouth promotion from both clubbers and DJs playing at the party.
Sisyphos’ return coincided with the club’s new record label Sisyphos unveiling resident DJ Jonty Skrufff’s debut release Stiletto, which came out on Beatport the same day.
Including remixes from Trouw resident Patrice Baumel, underground tech-house guru Jamie Anderson and seminal crunchy house crew Idiotproof the EP picked up immediate support from a wide range of DJs including Coyu, Technasia, Crookers, Groove Armada, Christian Martin and Ardalan from Dirtybird, Wankelmut and Chris from the Pet Shop Boys.
