Alexei Firsov, director of Russian official polling company VTsIOM commenting on new research showing that one in five Russians believe gays should be ‘isolated from society’ while 41% think ‘authorities should persecute people with ‘untraditional sexual preferences’ in order to ‘exterminate the phenomenon’.
