Family Radio sister organization eBible Fellowship appear to have set a new date for the much delayed Rapture, revealing that Armageddon will now happen around March 7.

Posting on their website a banner poster asking Will the World End in March 2012? the Bible studies group declared yes, suggesting that 21^st May last year was in fact Judgement Day and that all the really nasty zombie blood and guts stuff will soon happen ‘until March 7th, 8th, 9th, 2012’ (http://bit.ly/AD9uNY )

eBible Fellowship’s leader Chris McCann was one of the biggest supporters of Harold Camping’s May 21^st end of the world date last year, and posting on his Yahoo newsgroup last month stressed he’s kept the faith.

“This group continues to support the teaching of the longtime faithful Bible ministry “Family Radio” and its president Mr. Harold Camping,” he said on the  “Time and Date Discernment”. Grouo.

Details of the new Rapture date came soon after Vice Magazine published a detailed exposure of vast sums of money earned by Howard Camping after his followers donated their assets in anticipation of Armageddon.

“Some say the church earned a cool $56 mil from the failed prediction,” Vice’s Rick Paulus reported.

“Others go with $72 million. One goes as high as $120 million. No one’s quite sure. What everyone is sure of, however, is that Camping is sitting on a shit-ton of money.”

Doctors in India confirmed this week that they’re treating 12 cases of people suffering from total drug resistant (TDR) tuberculosis (TB) prompting news organization DNAIndia to declare ‘this is as scary as it can get’.

The apocalyptic potential of the new antibiotic resistant strain of the deadly disease comes because “each person with active TB can infect 10 to 15 people a year’, the Times of India reported, noting that the six men and women currently identified with the disease (one of whom has already died) have an average age of just 32.3.

“TB is a contagious disease,” the Times added, “Like the common cold, it spreads through the air.”

Infectious disease specialist Dr Om Shrivastav from Jaslok hospital, where the patients are currently isolated, was similarly apocalyptic.

“TB is no longer a poor man’s disease. I am seeing more and more people from all sections of society suffering from TB,” the Doctor told DNAIndia.

“The manifestation of the disease has changed and it is no longer restricted to the chest. We are seeing TB infection in scalp, skin and even nails,” he added.

In more end time news, estate agents in LA unveiled details of an above ground nuclear bunker that’s recently come on the market, for the bargain basement price of just  US$2,950,000.

The NASA constructed Jamesburg Earth Station is being sold by Jeffrey Bullis, CEO of Absolute Turnkey Services Inc who chatting to the LA Times said the bunker, together with its helicopter pad and securely fenced 160-acre surrounding land, will make ‘a great place for armageddon’.

“The building is so strong that you couldn’t knock it over with a 5 megaton nuclear blast,” Mr Bullis promised, “And you could defend it strategically with a small platoon of Marines.”  (LA Times)

“It’s been quite a while since I passed my banking and finance degree but from my amateur position I don’t think the current situation is going to get better any time soon.”

London based tech-trance DJ Claudia Cazacu has already lived through one revolution having been a child when Romania’s dictator Nicolae Ceau?escu was deposed and executed in 1989.

“Part of me feels the system needs to fail to be able to rebuild itself again on realistic value. At some point one country or another is going to have to default or else have their debt written off at the cost to another nation. When this happens we may well find money as a belief system seriously compromised,” she predicts.

Skrufff (Jonty Skrufff: What are your musical predictions for 2012? what trends will be big in clubland?

Claudia Cazacu: “Clubland seems to have been changing quite fast just lately and the older musical genres have been making space for new sounds to come through. The huge swell of popularity of dance music in the USA is sure to be a big influence next year both in the more commercial and underground genres.”

Skrufff: What do you forsee is the future for  genres such as dubstep and David Guetta-style dance-pop?

Claudia Cazacu: “It seems there is no longer any barrier between DJing and pop music. The styles are combining and crowds seem to love it. I hope that promoters continue to balance the perceived commercial sound with that of true dance music for the underground fans.”

Skrufff: How concerned are you by the Mayan Prophecy and their end time prediction of 21 December 2012?

Claudia Cazacu: “I am a big follower of the Mayan prophecy and all documentaries reporting on ancillary subjects around the age of enlightenment that is upon us. I don’t believe 2012 means the end of the world, but I do strongly believe we will enter a new era and I do think we need to enter a new one.”

Skrufff: How about global warming and such End Time issues?

Claudia Cazacu: “For me personally global warming isn’t something that has captured my attention way too much. I think it’s just a cycle that planet earth follows. The current economic ‘perfect storm’ and world issues such as the Arab spring and even the recent death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Ill, all contribute to this being a very active time in history that will no doubt fill the history books of the future.”

Skrufff: Speaking about the financial crisis; How concerned are you about it for clubland?

Claudia Cazacu: “Certainly this crisis is now causing real issues for the UK scene but it doesn’t seem to be having the same effect elsewhere in the world like in the USA, for instance.  The UK scene is now struggling to find confidence in the really high DJ fees that guarantee sell out events and the small events have all but dried up as clubbers fall into the demographic of 18  – 30 year olds who are largely unemployed.”

Skrufff: How much do you believe in destiny/ fate generally?

Claudia Cazacu: “I believe everything is energy and whatever you send into the universe, this is exactly what you will receive back. “Thoughts become things”; to quote Mike Dooley. Everything happens for a reason.”

“There is a need to be aware an almighty storm is on the way and so do what you can to lash yourself down as securely as possible until it passes and the rebuild operation gets underway.”

Though Taoist teacher (and regular Skrufff contributor) Barefoot Doctor is more than a little apocalyptic in his new book The Message he’s characteristically optimistic despite his warning.

“We have reached a crisis point in human history,” he continues, “The indication is for collapse rather than destruction – the sort of collapse that leads to the discovery of a necessary jewel that might have otherwise been left undiscovered.”

Chatting to Skrufff this week, he says the book is aimed at those with ‘any interest in the 2012 phenomenon and a yen to contribute to the potential dawn of a new golden era for humanity’: and is also categorically ‘not a book for idiots, bigots or sheep’.

But wouldn’t it be better to target those people rather than preaching to the converted?

“Who said anything about the converted?” he retorts, “I’m assuming I’m mostly talking to the ‘unconverted’, but am not willing to dumb down what I’m saying or placate bigotry to win popularity.”

And what signs should people be on guard for to understand if they’re worried they might be a sheep?

““Thick white fur growing on their body,” he laughs, “And a tendency to talk in bah-bahs”.

Released last month, the book has already been reprinted for a second run and Barefoot, normally as loquacious as he’s opinionated, is equally in a hurry. Much of the book was written up various mountains in Wales and France though he gives short shrift to any comparisons with Moses.

“Did I experience any revelations up the mountains, er no,” he admits, “I was too busy writing down the revelations I’d already had – all of them in the book.” So what makes your message any more valid than anyone else’s?

“Who says it is?” he challenges, “But it’s certainly as valid as anyone else’s.”

Skrufff (Jonty Skrufff): in the Message’s introduction you declare ‘this book accepts no fatwa”: have you ever been targeted by traditional religion activists? 

Barefoot Doctor: “No, but I do receive the strangest emails from people claiming theirs is the only way implying there’s no point presenting any other. I tend not to take these personally but rather with compassion for the psychotic hold various dogmas exert on people.  On the other hand, I’m getting far, far more feedback in the positive vein, people loving the book so much they try to eat it, and in some cases even marry it, but likewise, I tend not to take these personally either.

I’ve done my job in the writing and getting it out for the world – what happens at the other end is the business of whoever is reading it, though of course I love being in contact with people who’ve kind things to say to me as we all do.”

Skrufff: What’s been the biggest mistake you’ve made in life?

Barefoot Doctor: “Wasting energy worrying. I’ve eventually learned through years of meditation and martial arts practice that whenever I project even one day into the future, unless specifically required to do so for logistical planning or positive visualization purposes, it elicits anxiety and achieves nothing. The meditation (as taught in the book), helps me stay in the here and now, where nothing is lacking and as long as I let myself feel the fullness of this moment, the next one and subsequent ones will take care of themselves. And this preserves and even increases my vital force rather than deplete it.”

Skrufff: How can readers be sure you’re not a false prophet?

Barefoot Doctor: “They can’t – only I can.”

Apocalypse expert Harold Camping, 90, hinted this week that zombies might not stalk the Earth on Saturday 21^st as he appeared to backtrack on earlier predictions of fire, brimstone and violent brutal death for all unsaved sinners.

Speaking last month Pastor Camping remained cheerfully bloodthirsty, despite being roundly ridiculed after his last End Time date May 21^st passed without incident.

“On the last day, all the unsaved are going to come under the curse of God,” he promised, “They are going to be thrown out of the grave if there are still a corpse there or bones. If they are in the grave, they will be shamed in the eyes of God. If they die on that day, they’re not going to be buried. They’re going to be shamed in the eyes of God,” he enthused.

This week, via a ‘special message’ delivered via his Family Radio website, he instead sounded subdued.

“Probably there will be no pain suffered by anyone because of their rebellion against god,” he grumbled.

“They’ll quietly die…the true believers will quietly receive the new heaven and the new Earth. I really am beginning to think as I restudied these matters that there’s going to be no big display of any kind. The end is going to come very, very quietly probably within the next month.
