New York Trash Party Promoter Found Dead
East Coast DJ and alternative club promoter Jess Marquis (aka Jess Immler) died last week after posting a final personal message on Twitter in which he asked “What’s this from? ‘Death is our business. Business is good.’?”
In a subsequent tribute to the Trash Party promoter, the Village Voice said ‘the cause of death remain unreleased to the public’, (http://bit.ly/1CYDvLx ) though Jess’ family indicated his reference to the track by seminal death metallers Megadeth was clear.
“We have created this memorial fund in honor and memory of Jess to help support research and raise awareness about suicide prevention, and help the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention fund programs and resources for survivors of suicide loss and people at risk,” they explained.
“There are no words to describe the sadness experienced by his family, friends, and community at the loss of this beautiful soul. The impact he had on our lives will never be forgotten. He will forever be missed and forever live in our hearts.”
